Zimbabwe’s Captain: “Egypt Has Home Advantage But……”

It will be going down tonight with Zimbabwe battling Egypt in Cairo for the opening match of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Favourites tagging is being given to the hosts but Zimbabwe’s skipper Knowledge Musona says they remain unfazed.

“We are very excited to play in Egypt, a very nice country and people. We are looking forward to the tournament kickoff,” the 29-year-old said ahead of what would sure be his 35th cap for The Warriors.

“Egypt has home advantage and we’re not playing at home, but we are going to focus on our game and we’re not worried.

“I’ve been watching Egypt since I was young and they’re a very good team. There’s a great potential in Salah as he’s a great player but there are many other good players. We are not playing against him only and we are going to watch out for everyone,” the Sporting Lokeren goal-getter said in the lead up to tonight’s would-be thrilling affair at the Cairo International Stadium.

Zimbabwe are laced in Group A comprising DR Congo, Egypt and Uganda.
