Zambia Qualifies for U-20 World Cup After a 6-1 Thriller Over Mali

Zambia is the first team to qualify for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup after beating Mali 6 -1.  In a fully action packed game, Mali opened up the score line through Dante but the celebrations were short-lived when Zambia equalized within one minute through Sakala.

Zambia was 3-1 up by half time with Banda and Enock adding their names to the score sheet and it got worse for Mali in the second half as the young Chipolopolo continued to dominate by adding three more goals through Chilufya’s brace, and a second from Sakala, to confirm a place in the semifinals and ultimately, qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2017 in Korea.

Zambia sits at the top of Group A with six points followed by Egypt who managed two points after getting only one point against Guinea in a 1-1 draw.
