Yanga Sack Entire Technical Bench

Yanga have sent packing the entire technical bench with immediate effect led by Burundian coach Cedric Kaze.

The 27-time Tanzania Mainland Premier League champions have not started the second leg of Vodacom-sponsored league well, despite signing some of the top talents in the continent.

The most recent blow for the Cedric Kaze-coached side was Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Polisi Tanzania in a match played at Ushirika Stadium.

The Yanga management announced the development today afternoon despite the team maintaining their top place on the TPL table.

Reports from Dar-es-Salaam indicate that the slow start to the second leg has been due to lack of a working formula between people in the technical bench with the source coy to reveal the exact parties involved in the disagreements.

Another issue has been on the player’s ego with some feeling they deserved a place in the starting team in place of others.

The team has only won one game since the second leg started despite having recruited some of the best talents across Africa.

Kaze was appointed in October 2020 and has since led the team with 18 matches winning 10, drawing 7 and losing 1.
