Yanga Open Talks To Sign Congolese Striker Jean-Marc Mundele Makusu

News out of Tanzania reveals that Democratic Republic of Congo striker Jean-Marc Makusu will be a new Yanga footballer before the new season.

The 29-year-old center-forward was a subject of Yanga’s scouting team well before his lone move to South Africa Premier Soccer League giants Orlando Pirates , although nothing came of the move despite the player publicly expressing his desire to leave the Black Dolphins.

Makusu was due to join Moroccan outfit RS Berkane but a double-leg break injury halted his transfer in July 2019.

Following a frustrating loan spell with Pirates where Makusu only managed to score one goal in eight apperances, the PSL club decided not to make the move permanent next season.

Previously he was reported to be eager to return to his mother club AS Vita as felt that he was not being given the opportunity to flourish in Soweto.

Makusu, who has previously played for Standard Liege in Belgium, had regular goal scoring experience in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup with AS Vita.

AS Vita, through one of their media coordinators, recently reiterated Makusu is not for sale to any Tanzanian club before placing a heavy price tag on the striker.
