Victor Wanyama has surprised his boyhood club by buying them a brand new luxurious team bus.

The Harambee Stars captain, who currently plays for English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs, left Country Bus FC when he was 11 to join MJ Youth Academy which did not receive compensation at the time when he signed for Scottish Premiership side Celtic.

The former Southampton midfielder clearly felt he owed his youth side something that made him dig into his pocket to produce an estimated USD 150,000 on what is a 40-seater passenger for the Muthurwa-based side, which currently plays in the Nairobi East County League.

“East or west home is always the best. I can never run away from the fact that I was born and bred in Muthurwa and that Country Bus FC nurtured my talent,” Wanyama told Nation Sport.
