Zimbabwe forward Knowledge Musona has announced his intention to leave Belgian giants Anderlecht during the transfer widow.

The 28-year-old striker is unhappy at Anderlecht after spending the second half of the season, on loan, at KSC Lokeren.

Musona scored only one goal in six games, making him feel frustrated following lack of play time.

“At the moment, I am not thinking about it (returning to Anderlecht),” he told NewsDay. “I will think about it after AFCON. ”

Some media reports indicate that Musona is hoping to return back to the South Africa Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs and has rejected offers from China and Norway.

Musona joined Anderlecht from another Belgian side Oostende in May last year on a four-year contract but was offloaded to Lokeren just three league game starts in January.

The experienced striker, who has scored 19 goals in 27 caps for Zimbabwe, is part of Warriors squad that will be taking part in the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Musona will first lead the team in an international friendly against the Super Eagles on Saturday at the Stephen Keshi in Nigeria.

Zimbabwe will campaign in Group A of the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations finals set to begin on 21st June to 19th July, alongside host nation Egypt, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda.
