Morocco Botola-Pro side Moghreb Athletic de Tetouan announced on Wednesday that two players tested positive for coronavirus.

The Moroccan Royal Football Federation (FRMF) made it mandatory for players and other essential team officials to undergo Covid-19 tests.

According to Maghreb Arab Press, the club confirmed the results to the federation hours before their scheduled match against Raja Casablanca.

The match went ahead as scheduled following a consultative meeting among the stakeholders, with the Tetouan-based outfit holding Raja to a goalless draw.

The Botoal-Pro league resumed last weekend as teams with games in handpicking up from where they left by playing catch up games.

All postponed games are to be completed first before the full official return of the 21st round of the Botola-Pro on Monday.

Football activities in the North African country were suspended on March 14 to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Most of the outstanding matches of this season’s Botola-Pro have been played with Raja Casablanca collecting seven points out of a possible nine, a feat that saw them move to second place (35), two points behind leaders Wydad Casablanca (37).

Moghreb Athletic de Tetouan is currently placed on the seventh position with 29 points and they are scheduled to meet OC Safi away at Stade El Massira.
