Tunisia’s Ali Rejects Al Ahly’s New Deal Offer Amid EPL Club Interest

Ali Maaloul has shunned a renewal deal offer from current club Al Ahly Sporting Club of Cairo.

Ali Maaloul has shunned a renewal deal offer from current club Al Ahly Sporting Club of Cairo.

The struggling Egyptian Premier League winners reportedly offered the 28-year-old a contract extension with bonuses worth the Tunisian’s current salary cap.

The left-back has two more years to run down his contract which expires in 2020 amid latest news that an English Premier League club is ardent on making him their latest recruit.

The said foreign side has not been named but is strongly believed to be Cardiff City who have shipped in a total 30 goals in fifteen outings so far and want some bit of seal to the back beginning at the left side of the defense.

The Bluebirds are out to rescue their campaign with just three points separating them and bottom-placed Fulham and Burnley.

A quick fix would be preferable to gaffer Neil Warnock but Cardiff are prepared to wait for Ali to recuperate in time from his current injury which ruled him from Al Ahly games since October.

The 28-year-old is understood to fancy a move to Wales in what could possibly be his best chance at European football considering his age.

The Carthage Eagles’ man has played just four times this campaign all of them being starts from the lineup.
