Tunisian Coach Sacked after 1 month 6 Days On the Job

A coach in the Tunisian Premier League has been axed after just 36 days at the helm.

A coach in the Tunisian Premier League has been axed after just 36 days at the helm.

Khaled Ben Yahia was appointed last month to help turn around the fortunes of bottom-placed US Tataouine.

The south-based outfit have been on an abysmal run, winning zero games in nine outings, while conceding a whopping twelve goals against the sole two they’ve managed to score.

It was hoped Yahia’s experience and being a two-time league title winner considering he was at Esperance’s helm only last year, would engineer a turn for the better for free faltering Tataouine.

Those intentions as we would later find out fell flat on their face with the board deciding to axe the 60-year-old.

It comes on the heels of their Saturday 3-1 demolition to table-toppers Monastir with Nigeria’s Anthony Okpotu grabbing a brace to send his tally soaring to six on the scoring charts.
