Tunisia FA Elections: Incumbent Jarii’s Candidacy Endorsed, Rivals’ Applications Rejected

The Tunisian Football Federation’s elections body has rejected two of incumbent Wadii Jarii’s opponents.

The Tunisian Football Federation’s elections body has rejected two of incumbent Wadii Jarii’s opponents.

This followed vetting carried out by an independent body in which Wadii –pictured in the story –is the sole man said to have met all requirements.

The applications of Acharaf Aouadi and Mohamed Arbi Snagaria were thrown out.

Predictably, the rejected aspirants are crying foul with camps of both sides accusing Wadii of being behind their rejected applications.

A former player and a doctor by profession, Wadii is seeking a third mandate after passing the polls in 2012 and 2016.

The elections are scheduled for 14th March 2020.
