The multi-sports club had to contend with recent fines and disciplinary measures taken against them by the league organising committee.

This followed crowd trouble instigated by their fans during a previous league outing at the Taieb Mehr Stadium. Projectiles were thrown onto the pitch leaving an assistant referee with a nasty cut.

Imposing punitive measures, the league’s disciplinary body found Sfaxien- The Juventus of Tunisia –wanting, slapping a two-game ban on their fans from watching the team live.

However, that suspension has now been reduced to one game indoor play, meaning fans will be allowed to watch proceedings this weekend.

Sfaxien have accumulated eighteen points, joint-top with unlikely leaders Monastir, having secured six wins in eight outings.
