Simba Confirms Chama Return

Zambia international Clatous Chama has made a sensational return to Simba SC, six months after ditching the reigning Tanzania Mainland Premier League champions.

The 30-year-old has agreed to sign a two year deal just weeks after cutting ties with Moroccan giants RS Berkane.

Chama was instrumental for the club last season as they won their fourth straight Tanzania Premier League and reached the quarter finals of the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League.

However, the failed to make an impact in Moroccan football and his stay in RS Berkane had been cut short from the initial twenty-four months deal signed in August last year.

“Clatous Chama will be part of the team starting today after agreeing to a two year deal. We as Simba fraternity appreciate his return. He will add punch and value to our striking force,” a source at the club told Ducor Sports.

Chama’s  return re-unites him with striker Meddie Kagere as they played together at Simba for three seasons.

Rumours of Chama returning to Simba emerged in December after it was reported that he failed to adopt to climate and food in the North African country.

He had been linked to another Tanzania Premier League side Young African Sports Club but the move failed to materialize
