Senong Happy With Amajita Preparations

The Amajita subjected Qatar to a 1-0 defeat in their friendly match which took place at the X-Bionic sporting grounds in Samarin, Slovakia on Sunday, 5 May.

Orlando Pirates center-forward Thabiso Monyane scored the lone goal in the 68th minute of the match, and Senong says his national juniors are now beginning to catch the rhythm.

“I am happy with how our preparations have gone so far,” said Senong in an interview with South African FA portal.

South Africa are pitted in Group F alongside Argentina, Korea Republic and Portugal in the World Cup that will take place in Poland.

A top-two finish in their group will guarantee them a spot in the knockout stages of the tournament.

Amajita will now fly back to Szamotuly, Poland Monday (6 May) where they will continue with their World Cup preparations.
