Senegal Beats Nigeria to Retain Beach Nations Cup Title

Senegal has retained the Africa Cup of Nations Beach Soccer title following a 6-1 routing of Nigeria.

In a tournament that saw hosts Egypt dumped out in the semi-finals, Senegal triumphed emphatically over the Super Sand Eagles to successfully defend a title they won last year with a sort of easy hard to find.

Friday’s event capped off a brilliant campaign for The Lions’ gaffer whose charges maintained an unbeaten record in the lead up to Friday’s impressive storyline.

Senegal hammered Morocco 7-2 to reach the finals while Nigeria snatched a last-gasp effort against an enterprising Egypt.

On a positive front, both teams will represent Africa in next year’s Beach Soccer World Cup to be staged in Paraguay.
