Raja Casablanca Reject Offer for Mohmaoud Benhalib

Raja Casablanca turn down an offer from Al Ahly for young forward Mohamoud Benhalib.

Al Ahly have reportedly had an offer turned down by Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca for the services of young forward Mohamoud Benhalib.

According to an Arabic newspaper, Assabah, The Green Eagles want nothing less than $ 1 million for the leading 2018 CAF Confederation Cup scorer.

Benhalib is arguably in the best form of his career at the age of 22, and it comes as no surprise that there has been increased interest from all corners of the world for the player.

The center-forward has developed his game greatly under the mentorship of Juan Carlos Garrido and has contributed immensely to the Green Eagles’ success both locally and on the continent thus far.

In saying that, indications are that the club is reluctant to let a player of Benhalib’s caliber leave the club without getting their asking price.

The Egyptian side are said to have already had an aprroximately $ 600,000 offer turned down.

Though the latest offer for the player still does not match Raja’s asking price, the deal would have seen Benhalib net two times more in salary than what he does in Morocco at the moment.

He could have been a massive signing for Al Ahly as he holds a wealth of experience, provides options upfront because of the Big Match Temperament he carries, despite his young age.
