Phobians Tie Down Futuro Kings Target

Ghana Premier League giant Hearts of Oak have moved quickly to tie their most-wanted defender Robert Addo to a new contract to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Ghana Premier League giant Hearts of Oak have moved quickly to tie their most-wanted defender Robert Addo to a new contract to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Addo is one of players who had a very good 2019/20 season with Phobians before the season was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It has now been revealed that the 26-year-old has attracted interest from Equatorial Guinea outfit Futuro Kings, hence the club acting quickly to secure his services.

“Addo is wanted by many teams in the Ghanaian league and outside the country,” a source close to the player Ducor Sports.

“Elmina Sharks, Benchem United and Equatorial Guinean giants Futuro Kings are teams that have shown interest in the defender after his decent performances.”

His representatives were hesitant to entertain transfer talk and instead went on with Hearts of Oak who rewarded their client with an improved deal.

“Robert Addo Extends contract to 2023,” the Phobians tweeted on Wednesday, confirming the deal.

Addo joined Haerts of Oak in 2016 from Division One League side Uncle T United and quickly established himself as one of the key figures in the squad.

The centre back will be expected to help the Ghana Premier League outfit fight for the title in the ongoing 2020/2021 season.
