Patson Daka Scores His Maiden Goal For Leicester City

Zambian striker Patson Daka got his maiden goal for Leicester City in Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Queens Park Rangers.

Making his second appearance for the Foxes following his debut against Burton Albion on July 24, the 22-year-old scored his first goal in a per-season friendly against QPR.

Charlie Austin, Yoan Barbet and Rob Dickie found the back of the net for Rangers with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Kelechi Iheanacho scoring the other goals for Leicester in a match played at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Daka’s strike came with just 11 minutes of play remaining and it was Leicester City’s second goal of the game as they leveled the matters, after Dewsbury-Hall had opened the score sheet for the Foxes.

Daka, who signed for the Foxes from Red Bull Salzburg, completed the second stanza, having came in as a substitute.

Leicester will next face Villarreal at King Power Stadium on Wednesday, August 4 in what will be their last pre-season friendly game.

Brendan Rodgers’ charges will then face Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium on August 7 before they start the league season with a home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 14.
