Olympiacos Eyeing Highly-Rated Guinean Youngster

Guinea national U-17 player Djibril Fandje Toure has attracted interest from Greek Super League 1 giants Olympiacos, Ducor Sports can exclusively reveal.

Guinea national U-17 player Djibril Fandje Toure has attracted interest from Greek Super League 1 giants Olympiacos, Ducor Sports can exclusively reveal.

The 17-year-old is currently on the books of Cefomig University Conakry. He is a versatile player who can play in defence or in midfield.

The Syli Nationale attacker was part of Guinea’s junior squad that took part in the 2017 World Cup U-17 in India.

A source close to the player has revealed that Olympiacos are keen on the striker, whom they have been tracking the youngster for several months.

“Olympiacos are quite keen on him. He has been doing very well with the U17 national team and he has impressed the technical team so much, so they want him at the team,” the source said.

The attacker was on Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich’s radar last summer, but the early closing of the transfer window meant the two clubs ran out of time.

Toure made his debut for the club back in August 2016, coming off the bench against Hafia in a local friendly.

Toure emerged from the club’s youth academy, joining the likes of Aboubacar Conte and Moussa Soumah in making the step up from the academy and into the first-team.

However, with a contract resolution yet to be reached, Toure may have played his last game for the club. Fans will be hoping he can come to an agreement over a new deal before it is too late.
