OFFICIAL: Zimbabwe’s Billiat Joins Chiefs on a 3-year Deal

Kaizer Chiefs have completed the signing of Zimbabwe’s 27 year old player, Khama Billiat.

South Africa Premier Soccer League giants Kaizer Chiefs have completed the signing of Zimbabwe’s Khama Billiat, the club confirms.

The 27-year-old pens the dotted lines a free agent having run down his deal with ex-African champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Signing for Kaizer brings an end to protracted speculation regarding the Zimbabwean international’s future amid interest from a number of sides abroad including Romanian giants Steau Bucharest.

The Chiefs have been out scouring the market to bolster their ranks and in their bid to give a competitive chase to rest of the leagues big names next season, they’ve acquired Billiat along with two other players.

The other new acquisitions are

are left-back Letlhogonolo Mirwa and  offensive midfielder Andriamirado Andrianarimanana, selected the best player of the recently finished 2018 Cosafa Cup held in South Africa.

Billiat and Mirwa have each put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract with an option of a 12-month renewal.

Offensive midfielder Andrianarimanana, the other new buy, comes from Fosa Juniors FC from Madagascar joining on a two-year contract with an option of one more year.

The new players were welcomed by Chiefs’ Football Manager Bobby Motaung who said it was a pleasure to have them as part of the Amakhosi family.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome these players into the Kaizer Chiefs family,” he said.

Billiat will now have a chance for a new start after spending nearly four seasons at Chloorkop.

The 28-year-old has finally made is move away as he spent the entire 2017 /18 season pushing for a move to Europe which never came to pass.

Billiat has been linked with a number of Europeans clubs, including Italian giants Napoli, Belgian side Club Brugge and KV Oostende and lately Azerbaijan’s Qarabağ FK as well as Swedish giants, Djurgårdens IF.
