South Africa national team head coach Molefi Ntseki has called up 25 players ahead of 2021 Group “C” Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana next month.

South Africa national team head coach Molefi Ntseki has called up 25 players ahead of 2021 Group “C” Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana next month.

Bafana Bafana head to Accra to face the Black Stars in the opening round of the group stages qualification set to be played on Thursday, 14 November 2019.

Ntseki retained most of the players that did duty in the side’s 2-1 win over Mali in the 2019 Nelson Mandela Challenge played in Port Elizabeth earlier this month with Thami Mkhize, who turns for Cape Town City, making a return having missed the duel against the Eagles.

Centre back Sifiso Hlanti of Bidvest Wits is also back after recovering from a knee injury as well as midfielder  Mothobi Mvala and Lebo Mothiba who plies his trade with France top tier side Strasbourg FC.

“If it is not broken, why fix it. We have decided to keep the bulk of the team because they already understand what we want to do, and you will recall this will be my third camp with them,” said coach Ntseki while naming the squad.

[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””] “We have to make sure we start positively because winning brings about a lot of energy to the team, which makes the next assignment not easy but more manageable, but I am confident we will do well.”   [/perfectpullquote]

Montpellier midfielder Keegan Dolly is one of the regulars missing from the squad that is set to assemble in Johannesburg on Sunday, November 10 before jetting out to Accra the following day to face the Black Stars.
