Nigerien international Victorien Adebayor has joined Danish second division side HB Køge on a two-year deal.

Nigerien international Victorien Adebayor has joined Danish second division side HB Køge on a two-year deal.

The 23-year-old, who previously attended trials with FC Lorient and Monaco, joins from Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies for an undisclosed fee.

Adebayor joined Allies two seasons ago from Niger top division side Association Sportive des Gendarmerie Nationale Nigérienne (AS GNN).

This was after he excelled in the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations in Ghana where his top-notch performances and dribbling skills generated a lot of interest and praise which caught the eye of Inter Allies’ scouts.

Adebayor, a product of Niamey’s AS Douanes Sports Academy, becomes FB Køge’s fifth designated signing after Frank Assinki, Kwabena Kyeremateng, Abdul Nassiru and Nsungusi Effiong.

The striker scored 12 goals in 15 games for Inter Allies before the Ghana Premier League season was brought to a halt due to coronavirus pandemic.
