Nigeria, Tanzania and Kenya Advance in FIFA Rankings as Ethiopia and Rwanda Drop

Nigeria has continued to make progress in the FIFA monthly ranking as the Super Eagles now rank fifth in Africa and 40th in the World.

According to the latest ranking released on Thursday, Nigeria moved two places from seventh to fifth in Africa and one place from 41st to 40th in the world ranking.

Kenya has moved up ten places to 78th while neighbors Tanzania moved 22 spots to 135. Uganda remains the best ranked team in East Africa after moving two places to 72nd.

Ethiopia has dropped 20 places to 124 and Rwanda down to 177. DR Congo is currently ranked 41.

Egypt remains the best ranked team in Africa at 19th followed by Senegal (30), Cameroon (33), Burkina Faso (35), and Nigeria (40) respectively.
