Napsa Stars Confirm The Signing Of Highly Rated Striker

Zambia Super League side Napsa Stars have confirmed the signing of striker Timothy Otieno from Kenya.

Zambia Super League side Napsa Stars have confirmed the signing of striker Timothy Otieno from Kenya.

The 26-year-old has signed the Pensioners from Kenyan Premier League giants Tusker FC after agreeing to pen a three-year-contract.

The attacker’s contract was set to elapse in December but the player opted for a way out to play in lucrative Zambian league.

“It’s a done deal and Mr. Otieno is now a pensioner. The striker has signed a three-year permanent deal from Kenyan Premier League side Tusker FC,” reads part of Napsa statement.

“Otieno was top scorer in the just-ended league with 14 goals. Welcome to Napsa Stars big team.”

Prior to signing the new deal, Otieno took to his social media pages to thank Tusker management and the supporters for support given during his stay at Ruaraka.

“I want to thank the Tusker FC management, teammates and technical bench for the good times we shared. The team trusted in me and I did my best, that is why Napsa noticed me. I also want to thank coach Robert Matano for always pushing me to do better. I wish them success in the coming seasons.”

The attacker joined the 11-time Kenyan Premier League champions in 2018 from Gor Mahia, a team he helped win that year’s league title.

He now joins former Gor Mahia goalkeeper Shaban Odhoji, who joined the club at the beginning of the year.
