Napoli Target Lille Striker With Nigerian ‘Keen’ On Blues Switch

Napoli have tabled a bid for Lille striker Victor Osimhen with the Nigerian keen to switch to San Paolo.

Napoli have tabled a bid for Lille striker Victor Osimhen with the Nigerian keen to switch to San Paolo.

This is according to pan-European television sports network, Eurosport, who say the Blues have made an offer, with the 21-year-old forward open to the move.

Osimhen continues to be linked with an exit from Lille with earlier reports stating that the youngster was headed to La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Lillie chief Gerard Lopez is allegedly open to sanctioning the move, with ex-Wolfsburg hitman Osimhen making 27 appearances in all competitions so far this term, scoring 13 goals.

Osimhen recently expressed his desire to play in one of the biggest clubs in the club.

“My goal is to play in one of the biggest clubs in the world, but I am happy in Lille at the moment. My priority is to play a lot of games,” the youngster told The Independent.

Osimhen joined Lille in August 2019 from Belgian side Charleroi on a five-year deal, with signing fee reportedly to be 14 million euros ($15.5 million).

The promising attacker was part of the Nigeria squad that finished third at the Africa Cup of Nations and scored 20 goals in 36 appearances for Charleroi last season.
