Enyimba FC midfielder Sanni Jean-Marie Guera is eyeing a successful 2019 season with the team, as well as an improved personal performance.
The 21-year-old is yet to win a big individual accolade in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPLF) despite being one of the key players for the City of Aba based outfit.
Speaking to Ducor Sports, the Benin international said that the team spirit is high and they are ready for the league.

Improved personal performance
“We are working very hard in training and everyone is focused on getting to their best. Generally, everyone wants to see the team back to the top,” he said.
“Personally, my target is to improve from last season. I feel that I have been improving game by game and this is the year to work hard and be among the best.”
A highly revered player in his homeland, Guera was captain of Benin Ligue 1 outfit Energie FC, before been snapped up by the Peoples Elephants in May last year.
The 2018/2019 NPLF season is poised to kick off on the 13th of January following a directive issued to the League Management Company (LMC) by the Nigeria Football Federation.
The league has been on break since July before the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The new NPFL season is expected to feature 28 teams with an abridged format of two conferences.
