Mwepu Confident of Zambia U-20s Qualification

Zambia U20 national team midfielder Enock Mwepu is confident of the landlocked country securing a place in the Total CAF 2019 U-20 tournament proper.

The Redbull Salzburg playmaker was part of the class of 2017 team that lifted the trophy on home soil and believes the team’s mantra of putting God first will help them go far again.

“I went to see the boys and I think they are a good solid side. They are focused and determined to achieve their target. They also follow the Bola Na Lesa (Football with God)   rhythm like us,” he told Ducor Sports from his base in Austria.

The Junior Chipolopolo will face Burundi in a second leg encounter of their final round qualifier on July 21st in Ngozi.

The winner over the two legs will book a place at the 2019 Niger U20 AFCON tournament.

Zambia carries a 1-0 advantage having beaten Burundi by a lone Lameck Banda’s strike last Saturday at Nkoloma Stadium.
