Migne Upbeat Ahead of Senegal Duel

Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne believes his team has a chance when they play Senegal in final group C Match on Monday evening.

Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne believes his team has a chance when they play Senegal in final group C Match on Monday evening.

Stars need to get at least a draw to progress to the last 16 against the Lions of Teranga who are currently ranked top in the continent.

The two teams have three points each after beating Tanzania. Senegal defeated Taifa Stars 2-0 while Stars came from behind to beat Tanzania 3-2 on Thursday.

The match against Senegal has been termed mission impossible for Kenya but the French tactician believes everything is possible.

According to Migne, nobody gave Kenya a chance heading into the AFCON qualification match against Ghana last year but Stars managed to grind a 1-0 win. He believes Stars can get a result against the Sadio Mane-led side.

“We know it will be difficult playing against the number one country in Africa (FIFA Rankings). But it was difficult as well when we came up against Ghana during qualification and we won. We can do it,” he told FKF website.

Algeria leads group C with 6 points while Senegal is second with three, same as third-placed Kenya. Tanzania is bottom without a single point.
