Masuluke Dropped as Broos Names Bafana Bafana Squad

South Africa national team head coach Hugo Broos has named his final squad for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Ghana.

Baroka FC custodian Oscarine Masuluke has once again been overlooked after being dropped despite his form in goal that has seen him keeping four clean sheets this season.

Experienced defenders Sydney Mobbie and Rushine De Reuck made the cut in the department that consists of Terrence Mashego, Njabulo Blom , Siyanda Xulu, Njabulo Ngcobo, Sifiso Hlanti and Thibang Phete.

Broos has also tapped into the international experience of striker Percy Tau, Veli Mothwa and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Kegan Dolly.

Cape Town City attacker Fagrie Lakay and his team mate Mduduzi Mdantsane have also made the team.

South Africa face Zimbabwe at home on 11 November before travelling to Ghana to face the four-time Afcon winners three days later for what’s expected to be the group G decider.
