Manfred Chabinga Appointed As New Head Coach Of Kabwe Warriors

Zambia Super League side Kabwe Warriors has announced the appointment Manfred Chabinga as the new head coach.

Chabinga is taking the mantle at Kabwe Warriors to succeed Levy Chabala, who was let go in April after a dreadful series of results and performances below the required level.

The former Zambia under-17 and 20 coach, Chabinga was then linked with another Super League side but he has since joined the Railmen.

Warriors have confirmed the addition of Chabinga to their technical team without revealing the length of his contract.

“Kabwe Warriors Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Manfred Chabinga as Head Coach,” the club confirmed on their social media pages.

“Chabinga brings to the club vast experience having previously been coach at Nkana Football Club.”

He will be assisted by Ian Bakala, who was in interim charge at Warriors side late May, as the team magnificent people’s team prepares for 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup.

Bakala was in charge for last nine Super League games in which he has won five and drawn one to help steer the five-time Zambian champions Warriors to a fourth place.

Warriors secured the CAF Confederation Cup ticket as Zambia representatives together with Red Arrows while league runners-up Zanaco and champions Zesco will play in the CAF Champions League.
