Man Caught Performing Black Magic Outside Benjamin Mkapa Stadium

A Tanzanian man was on Friday arrested by members of the public for allegedly performing black magic outside Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

A video of the incident was shared to Ducor Sports ahead of CAF Champions League quarter-final second leg match between Simba Sports Club and Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

The four-minute long clip, recorded during  daytime , depicted members of  the public frog marching the unnamed half-dressed man on the streets after it was discovered he was in possession of black magic charms.

The man was seen running around the stadium perimeter fence while smearing himself with a white substance, believed to be charms, before being caught by concerned onlookers and taken to unknown location.

Tanzanian authorities are investigating the man who had draped himself in Simba Sports Club’s  red and white flag while performing the bizarre rituals.

The video later went viral on social media after Simba were bundled out of CAF Champions League despite a 3-0 defeat over the Amakhosi.Kaizer Chiefs advanced in the last four a 4-3 aggregate after winning big, 4-0, in the first leg of the quarterfinals at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Many on social media were making fun about this news, especially the fans of the competing clubs. A big section of fans accused the club for trying to find excuses for its failure.

In the group stage, Simba picked up surprising wins against Al Ahly and AS Vita and finished as the winners of the group.

Kaizer Chiefs are now also South Africa’s sole representatives remaining in the continent’s premier competition after Mamelodi Sundowns were dumped out by Al Ahly on Saturday.
