Kunde Malong Completes Olympiacos Switch

Cameroon international PierreKunde Malong  has been unveiled by Super League Greece Champions, Olympiacos.

The lanky midfielder officially left Bundesliga side Mainz on Wednesday to sign the Red and Whites in a deal worth €2 million.

Mainz had paid €7.5 million to sign Kunde Malong from Atlético Madrid in 2018 but the club decided to offload him due to poor form.

On Monday, Ducor Sports reported that Mainz were in negotiations with Olympiacos after they received an offer from Karaiskakis.

A source privy to the deal confirmed to Ducor Sports that the lanky Cameroonian midfielder was already in Greece awaiting the two clubs to reach an agreement before he signs a contract that was likely to be two years.

Malong signed for Mainz from FC Granada and departed from Bundelsiga side having made 70 appearances for the Rheinhessen over the course of three seasons.

The Limbe-born star boasts of 20 caps for Cameroon since making his debut in March 2018 in an international friendly against Burkina Faso.
