Kondogbia Omitted From Central African Republic Friendlies

Central African Republic national team captain Geoffrey Kondogbia has been omitted from the squad that will face Tanzania and Sudan.

The Les Fauves are set to face the two East African nations in a FIFA international friendly matches slated for March 23 and March 27, 2021 respectively.

Central African Republic will play the two friendlies without influential Athletic Madrid midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia due to club commitments.

The 29-year-old recently worked on his return to his team after recovering a muscle injury which he had sustained the clash with Celta Vigo back in February.

It is the fourth time Kondogbia will not be featuring in Raoul Savoy’s plans after also being left out in the team that played in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Experienced goalkeeper Prince Samolah will not make it in time for the trip due to issues with his travel documents.

Former Cameroon youth internationals Samuel Nlend and Nzogue Desire have earned their maiden call-ups to the squad after switching their allegiance to Central African Republic.

France-based Georgino M’Vondo of Angoulême Charente FC is one of the six forwards, alongside former Democratic Republic of Congo international Lobi Manzoki who turns for Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC.
