KAS Eupen Table Offer For Enyimba Winger Iwuala

Belgian club KAS Eupen has tabled an offer for Enyimba FC winger Anayo Iwuala, Ducor Sports has learned.

The offer landed at Peoples Elephants on Friday prompting the club into meetings as they weigh up the option of considering a reported $800,000 transfer fee, which appears to be on the low side considering the player’s importance to the team.

According to sources from Abia, it is the first offer the Belgian Pro League club have put in writing to Enyimba and there are chances that it could be improved.

Eupen are serious on acquiring Iwuala who has been one consistent performers for Enyimba in the Nigeria Professional Football League and CAF Confederation Cup.

The Pandas interest as been welcomed by the 22-year-old, but an opportunity to move to the French Ligue 1 will also hold considerable appeal.

Pushing an agreement through will not be straightforward as Iwuala would need to obtain a work permit in order to move to Belgium.

In the meanwhile, Enyimba have already tabled an improved new three-year deal to Iwuala following enquiries for his services from a Danish club last month.

Iwuala made his debut for the Nigeria in the 1-0 win against Benin at the Stade Charles de Gaulle, Porto-Novo in March.
