Jwaneng Galaxy Officially Unveil New Signing

Jwaneng Galaxy have officially unveiled new signing, Savio Kabugo, who has joined the club from Ugandan club Proline FC.

The experienced centre-back has penned a one-year deal with the Botswana Premier League giants, with an option to renew.

Kabugo becomes Galaxy’s fourth signing of the transfer window after Gape Ofile Gagoangwe, Mariine Marcell Papama, Thabang Aphiri and Basiamisi Sweswe Sebapalo.

The 27-year-old had been training with the Botswana outfit for a number of weeks and was set to pen a deal last month although it fell through as the two parties could not come to a financial agreement at the time.

Jwaneng Galaxy are campaigning in 2021/2022 CAF Champions League season and he will be hoping to help his new club qualify to the quarter-finals of the competition.

The Cranes international could make his debut for the club as early as next weekend with Galaxy set to take on Esperance du Tunis.

Kabugo had re-joined his former club Proline after cutting ties with Ethiopian Premier League outfit Sebeta Kenema.

He previously turned for Sports Club Victoria University, KCCA, SC Villa, URA FC, Proline FC in his native Uganda and AS Vita in Congo.
