Ismaila Sarr Denies He Wants To Leave Watford

Senegal international Ismaila Sarr has shut down reports suggesting he wants to leave Watford despite speculations that he will move on this summer.

The 23-year-old winger, who joined the Hornets in August 2019 from French Ligue 1 giants Rennes, was believed to have signed a per-contract agreement with English Premier League side Liverpool.

However, Sarr has come out to clear the air on his future dismissing talk of a move from Vicarage Road as mere rumours.

“I think they are just rumours because I’m enjoying it here,” he said, as per Watford Observer.

Sarr has scored nine goals and provided nine assists in 34 Championship games this season and will hope to add to his tally as Watford continues with fight for a return to English Premier League.

An Africa Cup of Nations runner-up for Senegal, Sarr started out with Metz before earning a move to fellow Ligue 1 side Rennes in 2017.

He played 77 times over two years at Roazhon Park, scoring 18 goals, including some eye-catching displays against Arsenal in the 2019 Europa League season.

The pacey forward has also made 32 appearances on the international stage for Senegal, appearing three times at the 2018 World Cup and then playing regularly throughout the Teranga Lions’ run to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final.
