Horoya Goalkeeping Coach Yannick Quesnel Resigns

Horoya AC goalkeeping coach Yannick Quesnel has quit the club on mutual agreement, according to local news.

Horoya AC goalkeeping coach Yannick Quesnel has quit the club on mutual agreement, according to local news.

The former-French international is not happy with the management of the club and was last seen at the club’s training on Tuesday.

Ducor Sports understands that he left the club after a number of disagreements with members of Patrice Neveu’s backroom team.

Quensel’s resignation comes four days after the team’s assistant coach Bebert Kervarrec resigned from his position after three years at the helm of the Guinean giants.

The duo were part of Horoya’s technical staff that led the club to its first CAF Champions League quarter-final appearance late last year, where they were ousted by Egyptian giants Al Ahly on a 4-0 aggregate score.

The two coaches’s resignation notice is rather short considering the CAF Champions League assignment coming up in a week against defending champions Esperance de Tunis.

Horoya have reportedly reached out for Issiaga Fadiga to fill the vacant assistant coach role at the club alongside with Sekouba Bangoura, who is expected to double as physiotherapist and goalkeepers coach.
