Horoya AC management has appealed for the return of a bag containing players and technical staff’s passports which has been missing since Sunday.

The bag containing the passports was snatched from the team manager, Mamoudou Dioumessy, by armed gangsters at Coleah area in the Guinea’s capital, Conakry.

Dioumessy was in the process of making travel arrangements for the club’s journey to Morocco where they will face Egyptian side Pyramids in CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.

In a statement the Horoya AC management confirmed the incident and promised a hefty reward to any person who will find the important travel documents.

“As part of the procedures concerning the preparations for CAF Confederation Cup semi-final, scheduled for September 22, 2020 in Morocco, we inform you that our manager Mamoudou Dioumessy has lost the passports of the Horoya Athletic Club players and staff, this Sunday in the Coléah area,” reads the statement.

“We humbly ask anyone who has found the said passports to bring them back to us at the club’s headquarters in Matam – Corniche.

“Anyone with the information on the whereabouts of the passports should call the club on 622 42 01 89 or 657 79 77 28. Note your generosity will be rewarded.”

Guinea Police has also appealed for anyone with information to contact nearest police station.

Horoya made to CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals after eliminating Nigerian side Enyimba on 3-1 aggregate while Pyramids defeated Zambian outfit Zanaco on a similar margin.

The match will be held in a one-leg format at Mohammed V Complex stadium, Casablanca.

The team that will emerge victorious will meet the winner of the second semi-final between Morocco’s RS Berkane and Morocco’s HUSA.
