Hassane Kamara: Ivorian Defender Joins Watford

Ivory Coast international defender Hassane Kamara has completed a move to English Premier League side Watford FC.

The highly-rated 27-year-old, who was born and raised in Saint Denis, has signed a three-and-half year deal.

He joins the Hornets from French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice where he has made 11 league appearances this season.

“We are delighted to announce the signing of Ivorian left-sided defender Hassane Kamara!, Watford posted on official Facebook page.
“The 27-year-old joins the Hornets from OGC Nice on a deal until June 2025.”

Kamara started his  football career at LB Châteauroux before switching to Stade de Reims in 2015, where he won the French second division.

He moved to to Nice last season and has gone on to make over 50 appearances for the club in all competitions, including four in the Europa League.

Kamara made his international debut in June 2021,featuring in a 2-1 victory over Burkina Faso.

The left-wing back was not included in the Elephants squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations set to kick-off in Cameroon on Sunday.
