Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia have confirmed the signing of former Kariobangi Sharks winger Jonathan Macharia.

Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia have confirmed the signing of former Kariobangi Sharks winger Jonathan Macharia.

The attacker joins K’Ogalo few months after he amicably parted ways with Georgia’s Ligue Two side FC Saburto.

While announcing the new accusation on their official website, Gor Mahia said they have acquired the youngster on a two-year-contract.

“In a bid to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season, Gor Mahia has acquired the services of John Macharia,” reads the club statement.

“Macharia is excited to join the Green Army and is looking forward to working closely with the technical bench and his teammates to win more trophies for the club,” adds the statement.

Macharia was one of the shining stars as Laiser Hill that bagged the 2016 Airtel Rising Stars National Secondary Term Two B football boys’ title in Kisumu.

He thereafter joined Kenyan Premier League outfit Kariobangi Sharks on a three-year deal before moving on loan to NSL side Talanta FC.

He moved to Georgia in 2017 where he was snapped by National League side FC Kolkheti Poti before switching to FC Guria and later Saburto.

The former Kenya Under-20 international becomes the latest player to be officially confirmed at Gor Mahia after Ugandan attacking midfielder Titto Okello.
