Gor Mahia Sign Former Auxerre Forward Denis Oliech

Kenyan League Champions Gor Mahia have confirmed the signing of former AJ Auxerre forward Denis Oliech.

Kenyan Premier League Champions Gor Mahia have confirmed the signing of former AJ Auxerre forward Denis Oliech.
The 33-year-old who joins the club as a free agent, signed a two year contract at the club’s secretariat on Wednesday.
“Gor Mahia have today signed striker Denis Oliech. The striker penned down a deal that will see him being part of the club for two seasons,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
The former Nantes and Auxerre forward becomes the most expensive player in the local league as he is set to pocket a lucrative USD 3,000 per month salary.
On top of that, Oliech will also earn USD 35,000 sign on fee to be paid in two instalments.
He is expected to be unveiled on January 9 in Kisumu when Gor Mahia play Posta Rangers.
Oliech has trained with the side for the last one week and last week disclosed that he was joining the seventeen time Kenyan Champions to fulfil the wishes of his late mother.
“My mother always wanted me to play for Gor Mahia and she told me before I retire officially from football, I have to play for this club,” Oliech told Capital FM Kenya.
The ex-Harambee Stars captain has been out of active football for over two years. He successfully tried out with South Africa’s Free States Stars this year but was unfortunate not to sign a deal.
