Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have confirmed they have released one of their foreign wingers.

Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have confirmed they have released one of their foreign wingers.

Dickson Ambundo has been allowed to leave K’Ogalo after a stellar season with the East African football giants.

With six goals in 30 appearances across all competitions, the club has decided that, should football eventually resume, they can continue without his services.

The 24-year-old was shipped out on loan by Alliance FC of Tanzania in the summer of 2019 and has been putting on impressive performances for the side.

“We wish Dickson Ambundo all the best after his loan deal at the club ended and has since returned to Tanzania. We appreciate every bit of his efforts while at Gor Mahia,” he club said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Ambundo, who could be set for a move to Simba as a free agent, is now in Tanzania where he has been residing since the suspension of football in Kenya.

In a related development, Gor Mahia has parted ways with their second-choice goalkeeper Peter Odhiambo on mutual agreement.

The custodian could be on his way to Kenyan Premier League moneybags Wazito FC after K’Ogalo completed the signing of goalkeeper Levis Opiyo.
