Gor Mahia Makes U-Turn Decision On Appointment Of Paul Nkata

Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia have been haunted by the club’s latest decision following a controversial coaching appointment on Saturday afternoon.

K’Ogalo announced the expected sacking of Mark Harrison, only to shock the football fraternity by hiring Paul Nkata as his replacement.

However, after the backlash from football fans of the appointment of someone who most recently was accused of match-fixing and was forced to resign at Kakamega Homeboyz after claims emerged that he placed bets and paid players to lose games, Gor Mahia moved swiftly to withdraw the decision by announcing German gaffer as their new coach.

“As a club, we have settled on  German Andreas Speir as our new head coach,” the club said in a statement.

“He will be assisted by Michael Nam in the new technical bench.”

Spier previously worked as Technical Director at Hangzhou as well as International Football Development Advisor for China, Zhejiang Province.

He is known is East Africa for having led Rwandese Football League outfit APR FC to domestic cup double in 2013-2014.

In Kenya he worked at now defucant Football Kenya Federation (FKF) as Technical Director and was tasked in guiding junior national teams.
