Ghana international Bernard Morrison has completed the switch to Vodacom Premier League champions Simba, the club has announced.

The 27-year-old midfielder joins the Msimbazi Reds from another Tanzanian side Yanga on a two-year deal.

Morrison made 18 appearances for Yanga after joining them from South Africa Premier Soccer League giants Orlando Pirates.

“Morrison has displayed outstanding quality in his short stint at Yanga and starting next season, he will wear traditional Simba red and white jersey,” the club said in a statement.

“Morrison signing is the official club announcement as part of strengthening the squad ahead of next season Vodacom Mainland Premier League as well as African Champions League.

“The arrival of Morrison makes our squad rich with talent especially in the striking department which we believe we shall be a force to reckon with.

“Morrison joins Clatous Chama, Luis Misquissone and Francis Kahata in the attacking midfield position.”

Morrison has also played for AshantiGold before switching to DR Congo side AS Vita Club in summer 2015.

The following season, he joined Orlando Pirates in South Africa before returning to the DRC to play for DC Motema Pembe after which he became available for Yanga as a free-agent.
