FIFA Issues Ultimatum to Benin’s FA to Pay up or Risk Exclusion

Benin’s FA faces a race against time after being told to pay coach Didier Ollé-Nicolle’s unpaid wages or risk exclusion from all FIFA competitions.

55-year-old French-born Ollé-Nicolle sued his erstwhile employers, the Benin FA, to Lausanne-based FIFA for breach of contract.

Now coach of French Ligue 2 side US Orleans, Ollé-Nicolle was appointed Benin’s national team coach in May 2014 but lasted a mere six months before getting axed after dismal runs with The Squirrels’.

The former defender believes Benin breached the contract agreement after sacking him prematurely and lodged a complaint to FIFA who fined the West African nation’s FA £13, 000 to be paid in 30 days or risk exclusion from all international competitions.
