Club Africain have been in hot water of recent amid a looming ban from FIFA.

Former players lodging complaints to the world football governing body over dues owed to them compounded the side’s troubles.

However, they’ve managed to settle the debts of some of the players which had deadlines, via funds raised by club supporters.

Fans have raised at least a combined six million Tunisian Dinars in three months to offset the debts.

The fans’ initiative to step in was not met with much optimism but that changed after the Tunisian FA set up a bank account for mobilisation of the funds.

The plan turned out a success –an initiative most clubs within the Tunisian Premier League have gone on to copy to settle their cash issues.
