Ex-Southampton Target Jibril Bojang Debuts for Norwegian Club

Jibril Bojang has switched clubs making his debut for new employers Mjøndalen.

The 22-year-old marked his first cameo for The Browns coming off the substitutes’ bench as teammates Ousseynou Boye’s replacement in the 2-1 win over Arendal.

This new development, Bojang hopes, will signal the dawn of a terrific season.

Born in Norway to Gambian parents, Jibril joined Mjøndalen on day of the Norwegian league transfer deadline day from fellow second tier side Start.

The winger would have probably featured for Southamption in the English Premier League today had his father not shunned the St Mary’s Stadium outfit deal proposal, in an aim to protect the youngster from the limelight too early.

There however, remains strong hope of Bojang rediscovering his once deadly form but he must first start to storm the Norwegian second tier which is just a game old.
