Étoile Du Sahel Striker Bienvenue Shaka In Talks With AFC Leopards

Etoile Sportive du Sahel striker Bienvenue Shaka could be in line for a shock move after it was confirmed he’s in talks with Kenyan Premier League giants AFC Leopards.

Leopards are looking to fill the void left by John Mark Makwatta who left the club in the middle of last season and according to a source at the club, Shaka has been identified as an ideal solution.

Discussions between the Burundian international representatives and Kenyan football agents are in the works, however, a transfer fee has yet to be agreed between the two clubs.

“Bienvenue Shaka is a Burundian striker who played for his senior national team in various competitions. He is a player who has an excellent final touch. There is a possibility that he will be coming to Kenya to link up with AFC Leopards,” said a source.

Shaka joined Etoile at the beginning of the 2018/2029 season but the player has so far seen very little game-time with them after returning from a loan spell at another Tunisian outfit US Tataouine.

The 20-year-old forward was roped by the Tunisian Ligue Professional 1 club from Burundian Premier League outfit Aigle Noir.

He netted 16 times as he inspired Aigle Noir to their maiden Burundian title in May 2018, a feat that booked them a spot in the CAF Champions League the following season.

Etoile du Sahel are demanding $100,000 from AFC Leopards in order to let Shaka go, as the player has several months to the end of his contract.
