Ethiopian Striker Mujib Kassim Ends Contract With JS Kabylie

Ethiopian international Mujib Kassim has reportedly terminated his contract with Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie.

The Tizi Ouzou club is said to be experiencing financial difficulties following the departure of one of their key financiers.

According to a reliable source, Kassim decided to leave the club after not receiving his salaries for the past three months and is now waiting for a settlement.

“It’s the third month, and many players have not been paid and no one tells the players anything about what’s happening,” the source tells Ducor Sports.

“The likes of Kassim have even terminated their contracts, and are now waiting for settlements. They must pay them for the past three months, and three months’ settlement of which they agreed to pay in installments.”

Kassim featured seven times for Kabylie this season in all competitions, finding the back of the net on two occasions.

The 25-year-old joined the Algerian club in August after leading Fasil Kenema to the Ethiopia Premier League title last season.

The former Sidama Coffee striker bagged 20 goals of the 38 scored by Fasil Kenema in the 2020/21 EPL season.
