Djilali Bahloul Appointed As Mukura Victory New Head Coach

Rwanda Premier League outfit Mukura Victory have appointed Djilali Bahloul as the new head coach on a two year deal.

Rwanda Premier League outfit Mukura Victory have appointed Djilali Bahloul as the new head coach on a two-year deal.

Bahloul takes over from Tony Hernandez who resigned from his position in September after one season with the 2018 Peace Cup winners.

The former Marseille forward joins the Kigali outfit from Oman side Sohar Sporting Club and has previous experience of coaching in Africa especially in Senegal and Ivory Coast.

“We are delighted to announce French Coach Djilali Bahloul as our new Head Coach for the next two seasons. Mr Bahloul, a former @OM_Officiel player, brings to MVS a huge coaching experience from professional clubs in Europe, Africa and Asia,” the club posted on official social media pages.

Mukura finished in the fourth position last season behind 18-time champions APR, Rayon Sports and Police FC.

Rwandan was forced to end the season on Match-day 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic, which also saw the relegation of Heroes FC and Gicumbi who were bottom of the pile with 15 and 16 points respectively.

The standings for the second division were tabulated based on results from mid-season, while play-offs will be organized between the top four sides of each zone to get two teams to be promoted to the Premier League.
