Diomansy Attacks Self-Confessed Cheat Ndaw

Diomansy Kamara has blasted fellow retired Senegal international Guirane Ndaw for confessing to age-cheating and claiming 99% of Senegalese players are fraudsters.

Diomansy Kamara has blasted fellow retired Senegal international Guirane Ndaw for confessing to age-cheating and claiming 99% of Senegalese players are fraudsters.

Ndaw trended today for delivering what he called a frank interview in which he admitted to reducing his own age to gain football advantage.

Age-cheating is tantamount to fraud and carries a heavy sentence in football with few notable players ever tried for the act.

“What is certain is that in Senegal, 99% of players have reduced their age. Senegalese [players] are generally very small and when he goes to Europe at 20, he will see that young people of 15 are stronger than him.

“Like all Senegalese, I lowered my age to be professional. In Africa, the player who does not lower his age cannot be professional [in Europe], it’s a reality,” Guirane told IGFM.

However, Kamara, who was born in France but represented Senegal for a couple of years, took serious offence for Guirane’s allegations.

“Pyromaniac who burns his own house!! Guirane Ndaw… Shame on you,” 39-year-old Diomansy now a Canal+ analyst, said.

Rufisque-born Guirane began his career in 2003 with Socheaux, then Nantes before brief spells at St Etienne, Real Zaragoza, Birmingham, Ipswich, Metz and Lens followed prior to his retirement in 2016.
